Version: 0.1 (draft for advocate review)
In short
- Privé is for adults (18+). Treat others with respect.
- No sexual services, no explicit sexual content, and nothing involving minors.
- No harassment, hate, threats, scams, impersonation, or copying others' work.
- Never capture, record or share view-once items, calls or lives.
- Keep payments in Privé. No off-platform payment requests.
- Report or block anyone from their profile, a post or a live. Every report is reviewed by a person, never automatically, who may remove Content and may contact you by email.
- A breach can be recorded as a warning or a strike. It is a record only: it does not restrict or suspend your account.
- You can appeal a warning or strike you were told of in the App, and any decision through our Grievance Officer.
1. About these Guidelines
These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service and apply to everyone on Privé, which is operated by POLYMATH COGNITIVE. They apply to everything on Privé:
- profiles and posts;
- chat messages, photos, GIFs, voice notes and videos;
- view-once items;
- calls and lives, including live comments;
- wishlists, gifts and service requests.
Defined terms are as in the Terms.
2. Adults only
Every User, and every person who appears in Content, must be 18 or older. See the Child Safety Policy. We have zero tolerance for anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor. We remove it, ban the account, and report it to the authorities.
3. Sexual content and services
You must not:
- post, send or stream sexually explicit Content, or nudity (exposed genitals, or sexual acts, whether real or simulated);
- offer, request or arrange sexual services, escorting, "meetups", or sexual performance in calls or lives;
- share sexual Content of anyone without their consent. Non-consensual intimate imagery is removed within 24 hours of a complaint. See the Grievance Redressal Policy.
Suggestive Content (for example swimwear or fitness Content) is allowed only if it complies with Applicable Law and the app-store rules.
4. Respect and safety
You must not:
- harass or bully anyone. This includes repeated unwanted contact, threats, doxxing, and sharing someone's private information;
- attack people for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or illness, or incite hatred or violence against them;
- threaten, promote or glorify violence, terrorism, self-harm or suicide. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services; in India, call 112;
- post graphic violence or gore;
- promote illegal goods or activities, such as drugs, weapons, gambling or wildlife products.
5. Honesty, money and rights
You must not:
- scam or defraud anyone. This includes fake giveaways, phishing, investment schemes, and taking Coins for something you do not deliver;
- impersonate a person, a brand or Privé, or misrepresent who you are;
- solicit or make payments outside Privé for anything arranged on Privé, or share UPI IDs or payment links for that purpose;
- manipulate the platform. This includes fake accounts, self-dealing, chargeback abuse, spam, bots and scraping;
- infringe intellectual property: post Content you do not have the rights to. See the Copyright and Takedown Policy;
- break privacy: record or share anyone's private messages, calls or lives without their consent.
6. View-once, calls and lives
- View-once photos and videos open once.
- The App blocks screenshots and recording where the phone allows it. On Android, captures are blocked. On iOS, captures come out black.
- If a screenshot is still detected, the sender is told.
- Capturing, recording or re-sharing view-once items, calls or lives by any means, including another camera, is a serious breach. It can lead to an immediate ban and, where the law applies, to a report to the police.
- Senders should remember that no technology can stop someone from photographing a screen.
7. Reporting and blocking
7.1 Report a post from its menu. Choose a reason: nudity, violence, harassment, scam, impersonation, underage, or other.
7.2 Report or block a person from their profile or chat. Blocking:
- ends the follow;
- stops chat and calls between you;
- removes the person from your lives;
- returns their Coins for anything pending with you (waiting service requests, and bookings for lives that have not started).
7.3 Urgent reports. For urgent matters (child safety, non-consensual imagery, threats), also email the Grievance Officer at hi@prive.buzz.
7.4 Report in good faith. We act on reports and may also detect breaches ourselves. Reports are confidential: we do not tell the reported person who reported them. Knowingly false or malicious reports are themselves a breach.
8. Enforcement
8.1 Every report is reviewed by a person. Every report is logged and reviewed by a person on our team. Nothing happens to an account automatically because of a report. The person reviewing it looks at the Content, its context, the account's history and the harm involved, and decides what to do. They may remove the Content, and they may contact you by email at the address on your account about what they found or what needs fixing.
8.2 Warnings and strikes are records. The reviewer may record a warning or a strike on the account, each for one kind of breach in these Guidelines (for example harassment, hate, scams, or payments outside Privé). A warning or strike is a record kept by our team. It does not restrict or suspend your account: you can still post, send messages, go live and make or take calls.
- A warning or strike stays on the record for a period our team sets. After that it expires.
- A severe strike is recorded for child safety (including anything that sexualises a minor), credible threats of violence, non-consensual intimate imagery, offering or selling sexual services (including escorting and solicitation), and fraud. We may report these to the authorities where required.
8.3 Notice. You see a warning or strike in the App only if the reviewer chooses to tell you. Then the App shows a plain notice with what happened, the kind of breach, and an Appeal button, and you are also told when it expires or is removed, and when an appeal is decided.
8.4 Records. Removed Content, and the record of each warning and strike, may be kept as evidence, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8.5 Account suspension.
9. Appeals
9.1 In the App. If you were told of a warning or strike, tap Appeal on the notice and tell us why you think we got it wrong. You can appeal each one once, while the notice shows the Appeal button. A person reviews it and answers in the App.
- If we accept your appeal, the warning or strike is removed from the record.
- If we do not, it stays, and we tell you why.
9.2 Everything else. For a removed post, or anything you cannot appeal in the App, write to the Grievance Officer within 30 days of the action. Give your account email and the reason. Where staffing allows, someone not involved in the original decision will review it. We acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 15 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee. See the Grievance Redressal Policy.
